Our story

Picture it, Brooklyn, NY, 2019, it all began when I fell in love with beautiful balloon garlands. We were living on 13th Street in Park Slope in our two bedroom apartment with our girls, Luna and Lucy, and our double doodle, Frida. Then the world came to a hault March of 2020. I had a lot of balloons in stock for events that were all suddenly cancelled. While I walked the streets in Park Slope I noticed all of the closed gates on the temporarily closed businesses and thought these are great for balloon installations.

We lived a few blocks down the street from Brooklyn Methodist Hospital so I knew 7th Ave would be perfect for passersby on their way to work and nearby neighbors would hopefully see the balloon sculptures through their windows and smile. I knew then I had to spread joy, and the best way I knew how was with rainbow balloon bombs. This is where Project Balloon Bomb was born. The project came to completion with the seventh rainbow installation in June 2020. At this time NYC entered its second phase of reopening.

Project Balloon Bomb was featured on the local news: NY1, BKLYNR and News 12BK as well as as publication in Real Simple Magazine and we “blew up” from there. During this time no-contact home deliveries of balloon bouquets and mini garlands throughout NYC became our joy spreading mission. We were busy delivering balloons every day. Until we grew to the point of no return. We needed space to expand.

In early 2021 we made the difficult decision to relocate in order to support our growing business. We now have a full studio dedicated to our balloon work now located in Bordentown City, NJ.
